Lakkom Waterfalls

One of the most loved waterfalls of Munnar, Lakkom Waterfalls is situated near the Eravikulam National Park. The origin of the Lakkom Waterfall is the Eravikulam stream that originates 30 km away from Munnar. In order to reach the waterfalls, you got to travel through a winding road which is outlined by thick plantations of tea. The route by itself is like a film of picturesque scenes. Once you reach the place, you will be transfixed by the layers of milky cascading waterfalls and the greenery that surrounds it. The waterfalls gushing out from the thicket of forests is quite a sight. The water is so clear that you can even see the little round pebbles underneath the pool of water. The glorious waterfall is situated at a distance of 30km from the town of Munnar and takes hardly 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach Chithirapuram, which is the abode of many beautiful resorts, which are considered to be the Best Resorts in Munnar. Since the falls are just an hour away from the tourist spot you can easily travel to the town for the overnight stay at classy resorts.

Price: An entry fee of INR 65 for Indian citizens and 245 for foreign nationals.

Timings: 7:30 AM to 4 PM on all the seven days of the week.

Distance from KSRTC Depot Munnar: Take down the Munnar - Udumalpet Rd for around 12 to 13 KM and you will find your destination.
